SANTA ROSA, CA
Entrenched In The Faults Of The Earth is the impending debut full-length from Bay Area blackened funeral doom practitioners BARREN ALTAR. Captured by Greg Wilkinson (Graves At Sea, Necrot, Vastum) at Earhammer Studios in Oakland, California the offering delivers five relentless tracks of sonic desolation.
In advance of its release, Cvlt Nation is pleased to unveil the morose sounds of "Call To The Waves." Of the track the band issues, "'Call To The Waves' is the impulse to disregard the banal responsibilities and stresses of our daily lives and just sink into the deep waters. Quit your job, abandon your family, discard your possessions, and jump."
Adds Cvlt Nation,
"Pain is glorious, torment is beautiful, sorrow is golden, riffs drenched in dirge, mourning is solace - just some of the thoughts that come to mind as I listen to the new BARREN ALTAR LP Entrenched In The Faults Of The Earth..."
Weep to the sounds of "Call To The Waves" at THIS LOCATION.
Entrenched In The Faults Of The Earth will be self-released as on CD (limited to 300 copies) and digitally on June 12th. For preorders go to THIS LOCATION where you can also sample opening track "Nexus Of Grief."
In conjunction with the release of Entrenched In The Faults Of The Earth, BARREN ALTAR will take on a near-two-week West Coast tour with additional dates to be announced in the coming weeks.
